SAP BASIS
SAP stands for System Applications and Products in Data Processing that is used for solving business problems. It is provided by AG Germany. SAP has different modules like SAP FICO, SAP MM, SAP ABAP and many more. One of them is SAP BASIS, it stands for "Business Application Software for Integrated Solution".
Basis is a set of programs and act as an interface with Database, Operating system, Communication protocols and business applications FI, CO, MM, etc). It is the backbone for the entire SAP landscape and ensure that all the SAP systems in an environment run smoothly and consistently.
